Massey Ferguson 231S steeting cylinder

I have a Massey Ferguson 231S on which I replaced the right hand steering cylinder. Since replacing the steering has become difficult at times and when turning to the right the front tire shakes, not every turn but most of them. During replacement I made sure the hydraulic lines were installed as they were during the removal. Any ideas what may be the cause of this?

What kind of failure did the right cylinder have?

Damage? External leak? Internal leak?

If it was an internal leak, possibly the left is also leaking. If the internal seal failed, it could have released chunks of seal material that are now in the valve.

You could also jack the front up and turn the steering, feel for binding, check the bearings, looseness, etc.

Thanks for the reply. Leaks are external at the cylinders, the outboard seal on the RH cylinder completely failed squirting fluid when turning. I will take your advice and check the front.
