Any Classic Rock Roller Tractor lovers out there

Grew up just south east of Detroit. Saw probably 150 concerts at Cobo Hall and Joe Louis Arena from about 1974 to 1986 or so. No way I could list all the bands. Another place local to me was The Center Stage. Was there maybe 30 times. Link below for Center Stage for the concerts they had. Really small place, seating for 1,500 people. The Joe and Cobo seat 10 to 20,000. Wife was a big Journey fan. Saw them 5 or 6 times. Only ones I haven't seen are The Who and Stones. Still a classic rocker. Now my oldest (15) grandson is. Stole my old tuner, cassette deck, turntable, my records and tapes. Has bought a bunch of his own too. Maybe there is hope for the up and coming generation. We have taken the g'son to AC/DC, aerosmith, black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, J Geils, Motley crew, 38 special, Ian Hunter, Hollywood Vampires and a couple more.

It's crazy, who they induct and who they do not induct...into the rock and roll hall of fame. For instance:..Why hasn't Paul Rodgers and the band free or Bad Company not been inducted yet? But they let bands like Blondie in? Crazy...... Who is doing the choosing? Journey was a pretty good band...a lot better than some, they let in...but nowhere near as good as Bad Company. Just my opinion.

I was not much into concerts when young but I did see the Beatles at Crosley Field in 1966.

tractor radio stays on 105.9 the rock out of Nashville tn most of the time neighbor brought me a cold drink on a hot day back in the summer for blaring Aerosmith while cutting hay

The trouble with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is there is not much space .The building is a pyramid and as you go up each floor gets smaller. I think it has been full for years and somebody new almost knocks out somebody old.

I listen to it in the shop all day,, I have lost interest in the "New Country" rapp style music..

Blows me away how you can go to a department store to Christmas shop and hear classic rock playing throughout the store. I was told I was a demon worshiper and that music was ruining the world not long ago,,,, long live rock!!! What was once Nasty rock and roll and the old folks hated is now called new county and the old folks love it. Funny how opinions change. I have a hard time listening to old county music. Its not that the music is bad, I just cant take listening to someone sing about their wife leaving, dog dying and truck not running. Ive been there and done that stuff. I need to hear about Hot chicks and fun. I may be getting old, but my mind is still stuck in 1981.

I seen journey and Steve Miller a few years ago. Darn good show even with the little Asin guy singing.Seen alot of band but nothing beats seeming kids live. My problem with the hall is all the crap they let in...This year Tupac? Really he was a thug rapper! Anyway I listen only to classic rock. I grew up in the 80's so I guess that's my favorite music. Remember blaring AC/DC on the audiovox radio on the 4020 fender. O the good old days..

Pink Floyd, Bob Seger, Aerosmith....to name just a very few. When I get tired of those I will put on George Strait, Alan Jackson... Once tax season gets rolling I will start the day with classical music every single morning before switching to something else. I like a variety of music but I grew up with what we call classic rock and it is number one.

Oh yeah!Yardbirds,Cream,The Kinks,Led Zeppelin,Allman Brothers,Lynyrd Skynyrd,The Outlaws,Does Metallica count?Rock n Roll and IH go together like diesel's and turbochargers!

Yes! Watch that metal show on vh1 classic and here them go off about all the crap band that get in and others snubbed.

I commend you for such a bold post. Seems the members here are predominately C&W. Personally I can't stand country. Count in Hendrix and Joplin, the Byrds, Guess Who. I'll even go back to the surf music and a little MoTown from the '60s.
