Some of those old trucks were classic designed. I always admired the Dodge pickups from the early 50's; just liked the body style.

LittleD,

Thanks for the pictures. Do you know what make or year model is the four wheel drive pickup that is in primer? All of the trucks are beautiful, but I really like that particular one.

Nice picture but I'm wondering where is the
discharge spout on the snow blower? Looks
like they have a motor in back I bet that
was an interesting outfit.

The truck in primer is a International KB series. It looks like the body has been set on a more modern 4 wheel drive chassis.

Tom, It's an International KB Series....no year listed.

Called "side discharge". Go on utube and watch some of the really big machines at work. Some have both a chute and side discharge. Idea is chute throws far and the side discharge is almost like a "powered" snow blade. Gravely snow blowers had it too. Much less likely to plug up with wet snow. Just doesn't throw real far.

That Model "A" mail truck was covered in The Model A Restorer magazine
like 20 years ago. The guy almost had nothing to work with. He even
had to remake some of the hardware. You need to remember the post
office even back then had the lowest bidder. Most of it is plywood if
I remember correctly.

Great pics! The Jeeps really speak to me as that is what my parents drove in 197?. The Mack has a snorkel and forward facing mud guards. Is it prepped
for a certain duty? The Internationals and the Fargo are real treats, too.

Getting parts for my 1935 Chevy 1 1/2 ton is a challenge. There is a lot of stuff that is just for a year or two and it's the last of the high cabs
made of wood.

This picture was when I picked it up from my uncle - it looks much better now. I just ran it today. I still haven't ventured far from home since I
haven't touched the mechanical brakes, but that's next now that's it's purring like a kitten. I'm fortunate that it has been in the family all but a
couple of years so there haven't been any modifications or parts lost. It's going to be a goose chase for some parts for sure.

Loaded a lot of bales of hay every morning in dads KB 2 to feed cows when I was in grade school. That was my drivers ed. It was the same color as Duane WI truck.

The main chute is missing. The rear engine powers the blower. They are slower than a plow but when bucking hard packed wind blown drifts they can't be beat.
Got snowed in twice within 2 weeks in the late '50s.Snow blower was working non stop for 3 days each storm before the road was cleared to me.

It's a 1957 Chevrolet LCF 5700. All stock except 327 and Gear Vendors Overdrive. 53,000 original miles. It's rare, and, with the roll back bed, it's functional. I use it to haul my tractors, Bobcat, and Takeuchi excavator. At tractor shows it gets more attention than the 8N or TO-20 I bring.
