I need the snow to melt...

...so that I can pick some beans that got left behind when the blizzard came. Using historical data and personal knowledge of my own dumb luck, it occurs to me that the best plan is to dump a bundle on a new snow blower. Pretty much guarantees we won't see a flake for the remainder of the season. It's already melting out there and I only just started thinking about it...

You and me both! I went out with the FWA loader tractor yesterday to check that field where I've still got corn standing. I didn't go very far before one side sank right in to the slop. I got on through, went toward the back of the field where it's really wet. I tilted the bucket and scooped up mud. No frost what so ever.

No problem chasing the snow away here. All I had to do was mount the snowblower to the tractor, put the hay in the shed, split and pile firewood, bought two more snowmobiles, put trail passes , insurance and licenses on all four sleds .
This should keep most of the winter away.

What do you have for sleds? I just put new rear idlers on my AC F-1100 turbo.

But you know the old saying..."when the days get longer, the cold gets stronger", so the mud will freeze and I will snatch my beans. I can only tell you, if it doesn't happen in January, chances are it never will. That's the breaks. :)
