Older Jump Starter 12 or 24 Volt

Years ago back in 1978 the truck shop I worked at we had a jump pack that consisted of a 16hp B&S engine that ran 4-12volt generators that looked like the ones off of old tractors. There were 2 sets of jumper cables. If you were jumping with one set of cables you could connect the other set of cables to them selves to create a closed loop. By doing this it would create 300 amps on the set you were using.
I'm just curious how the 4 generators were hooked up inside the metal box. I didn't study it back then but wish I had now. Does anyone know where to find the wiring for such a contraption or have one of these old units? I tried to google it but come up with nothing.

Two Leece Neville Alternators and a 800cca battery driven by a 16 horse would be my choice. I can't imagine how the other setup was "wired" Jim

Called a Start All Made by Goodall Came in various sizes/ amperages 12 volt or 12/24 volt

Jim 800 cca sound small for jumping things in cold weather. I guess since I put 4 1000cca batteries in my semi for starting. Since when it is only about 0 out or colder they are only good for about half of the ratting it gives me the juice to start it.

Leece Neville alternators of 200 amps each add to the charging of the on board batteries in the vehicle and make a total of 1200 amps delivered to the system when the starter is engaged. Jim
