Well everything seems to have stood the cold OK. None of the waterers froze up and all the livestock is doing fine. I did shovel snow around the west side of the house foundation. That really helps keep the wind from blowing through any small cracks, holes in the rock foundation.
I can remember my Great grand Mother taking a spray bottle of warm water and spraying around her windows to seal them when it got cold. It worked pretty good. She would spray them on the outside as soon as it started staying below freezing. This was the old aluminum storm windows.
