What's Your Morning Temperature Today?

We woke up to 6? this morning here in Highland IL. When I got up I turned the furnace blower from Auto to On. It's keeping a more even temperature in the house now since the air is constantly circulating. We're heating with LP forced air.

27 below here with a southeast breeze of 5 mph.Just warmed up to 26below. I think the growing season is over!

yesterday our morning low was -25 air temp,, not as bad today,, coming week looks down right Balmy

Just east of Lubbock, Texas, 4 degrees this morning. 24 hours ago it was 62. No freeze ups yet, except for my feet and other parts......

It is 1 degree here, just south of Springfield, Mo. With a -16 wind chill. Got the old wood stove going. Didn't take the dogs long to do their business this morning!

-22 in central MN, but thankfully, no wind. Smoke is a straight column in the air. Wood boiler is heating the old farm house just fine.

I had -18 when I got up to feed this morning. There is a NW wind making the wind chill be -30-35 below. Many of the cattle stayed in the sheds this morning. So we will have to watch and maybe back of the nightly feeding amounts to keep the bunks clean.

-5 in NEKS. It was -4 when I got up at 4:30, but it apparently wasn't done. It's up to 12 or something today. Doesn't matter, all of those animals still need water chopped. The overflow on the pond waterer froze so I'm going to build a bonfire on the line and try to get it thawed. It's going to be nippy - I put on my Union Jacks!

Same Here John in Caseyville.

Much colder than last year this time for sure, which was
Abnormally warm.
This season I afraid were going to pay it back.

Tom

52F at sunrise, supposed to hit the sixties today. But two days ago it was zero, and yesterday we got four inches of snow. New England weather is just so fun.

Its -3 degrees 100 miles south of Kansas City..May get to a balmy 15 degrees this afternoon..
Our normal high is 44..

Riverbender says 2 in Alton at 9:00. Very little wind. Fire place going and coffee in hand. Life aint bad.

It was -5 this morning with a little breeze out there. I had to light another fire in the boiler this morning cause the storage temps were getting down a bit.

Beautiful sunny day otherwise but only a high of 2 degrees today. I need to get out and make sure the cows water is still running.

Are you what us Southerners call a "Snow Bird"? Wise thinking if you can swing it. Was 15 at 7 am. Have shop water frozen. Tape and insulation didn't do it's job. Can imagine problems you guys have up North.

about 20 rite now, Louisville area was 68 degress yesterday ,, stormy wild nite,,. little snowhere and there

-10 at ten, N ILL. Got a big drift across my garage door extending about 70 feet in the way, been trying to get pumped up for it since 7am, doesn't show much sign of melting so far.

It was 3 this morning when I checked about 8:00am. I knew the heat pump would have run continuous so last night I shut it off and turned on the heat strips. Built a roaring fire in the heatilaor insert in the fireplace, and I don't think the furnace ever came on. Turned the furnace blower on continuous to help distribute the heat. I don't know how you guys handle the 20 or 30 below stuff.

It was -10 this morning in Central Ks. I would guess 3-4" of snow. Wind blew hard enough yesterday to keep it from being a nice level snow. Warmed up to +1 here at 11:00am. Bob

28? in western Washington- supposed to warm up and rain by tomorrow. Maybe some snow flurries today, but it looks pretty clear out there to be doing much snowing.

23?F here in Edon Ohio when I got up this morning. 26?F at one PM with the guessers calling to drop off sharply this afternoon.

I spent 60 winter up north, and if you prepare well it's not much of a problem. You probably have more trouble down south where it's a rare occurrence. Our water lines were all down at least 7-8 ft and used frostproof hydrants. Our cattle water tank was in a shed and insulated, but dad was afraid of electric heaters, so I hauled hot water from the house to thaw it out when necessary. Most engines had heaters on them but a properly tuned gas one should start down to -30.

Only -4 Celsius.
Warmer than yesterday morning by 29 degrees Celsius.
............. and yes, the Moose-licking warning is still in effect!

Was -18 this morning at Scout Camp near Waverly IA. Cooked 2 lbs of bacon and a loaf of french toast outside at 8:00 in a sweatshirt and insulated pants. No wind, so it wasn't too bad.

I saw -34 on my outdoor temp about an hour north of SF around 4:30 this morning. It normally reads about 5 degrees cooler than Weather.com claims for the local town, but the truck thermometer also reads similarly. It is colder out in the country, but I may be reading a little low. Too cold, no matter what the number is.
