Getting better next week.

It's due to hit this afternoon. No way near what you guys up that way have to endure but cold none-the-less to us "Southern Sissies" that aren't accustomed to dealing with the cold.

Hope those "meese" don't try to lick 'em as they're speeding by... could be a bad end-result. LOL

Guess the moose didn't see the movie about the kid licking a steel post and having his tongue freeze on. -30F here this morning and no moose in sight.

Now...that's global warming if I ever saw it.

Back in the '80's while I was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX, they picked us up and flew us to Germany for to live in tents for a month. But they flew us up to an Air Force base in Goose Bay, Canada to refuel before crossing the ocean. We left Texas and it was about 90 degrees. We touched down in Goose Bay about four hours later and there was frost 1/4" thick on pine trees about a mile tall. It gets a bit cool up there.

I do put a salt block out for the moose and deer at the farm.
She has to kneel down to lick this one.

Game camera picture of course, and taken in warmer weather (the morning of May 10, 2016).
Hope you fellas like pictures.

Nice shot of the moose. I've never caught any on trailcam yet. I have salt block out for the cattle so maybe the moose come and help themselves. I've seen deer there.

Better bring in your brass monkey. -33 C that's like -27.4F. That's cold enough to freeze important parts on a brass monkey.

I had an interesting chat a few years back with a former refugee from Somalia. When they had left the refugee camp in Africa it was 104*, after a plane change in Europe, they arrived in Winnipeg with the temperature @ -30*. He and his wife wondered what they had gotten themselves into! lol! Must have worked out because his oldest daughter was within a year of graduating medical school and his oldest son was an engineer!
