My son located a S88 with a bum motor in the Chesaning Michigan area. Know anybody reliable who might be hauling a load from that area to northern NY any time that could add the tractor on? The pics show the tires are up on it.
Any thoughts?

Best bet might be to check the hauling schedule on here. I sold a tractor to 01gentDC and we found somebody right here close to home on there who was headed to Kentucky and dropped it off to him in southern Indiana.

I just got home from a funeral and was talking to a cousin about this very same kind of thing. Her husband hauls equipment all over the country. I was telling her about the trouble we had getting Kevin's steam engine hauled. She said Larry could have done it,but we'd have had to go through his broker. If you can't find somebody on the hauling schedule, that might be what you'll have to do,find a broker and set it up that way.

I wish I could afford to make that trip. Can't see making a trip like that tho. Of course if you have any case equipment for sale or trade.......

I know you weren't talking to me, but my 2 cents...

The big problem with buying equipment in the great lakes region is the great lakes. Your tractor is a ways up a peninsula. Guys cruising down 80/90 or similar would be going out of their way to get it. MANY times I have looked at equipment that was only a couple hundred miles away as the crow flies...but a 12 hour road trip to retrieve it. Even a truck coming down I-75 is going to be making a good side trip to gather your load. I agree, try the hauling schedule. You might get lucky.

Sounds like the purpose for a great father/son road trip to me! I still have fond memories of the trip Dad and I took about 90 days before he passed to pick up a tractor I had purchased off of Craigslist. Ours was only 300 miles one way, about 3/5ths of yours, but worth a second look!

Contact Ed Whitaker. He is a trucker from Ithica Mi. He is booked pretty solid but he might be able to work it in. 989 three three zero 3739
