On a previous thread the following statement was made. "There is a screen on the intake line in the transmission housing. It keeps metal from flowing through the pump. Sounds like it
might be covered with metal flakes." Can anyone tell me where I can find the screen they were talking about and how difficult it is to remove and clean. Thank you.

Drain the transmission oil,,, three drain plugs I think it is,, then remove the pto housing,, the screen is on the inside front of the pto housing at the bottom, use care when removing the unit to avoid damaging the screen

Before going to the trouble of removing the whole PTO housing, I would remove just the pump and make sure the quad ring that seals the pump to the intake is in good condition.
To save a lot of guess work, it would be best to flow and pressure test the pump.

Remotes will not lift implement. It starts to raise disc but won't raise all the way up. I did see the filter you mentioned and am going to change it.

Make sure you hook the two hoses from the disc to either the TOP 2 couplings or the BOTTOM 2 couplings, Not RH or LH couplings. Your description sounds like you are hooked incorrectly.

I have 2 couplings on the left and 2 on the right. So your saying I don't use either the 2 on the right or 2 on the left to operate the disc.

On those Tractors you do not put both hoses for a cyl on the same side. One hose connects to a coupler on one side and the other hose gets connected to a coupler on the other side. If you have two couplers on each side, you also need to make sure you are hooking into couplers that go to the same valve.

Loren did not reply to your clarification question so that is correct. You do not connect the hoses to one hyd. cylinder to either the left or right pair. In example one remote lever will apply flow to the top coupling on the right side of the tractor. When the same remote lever is moved the opposite direction it supplies flow to the left top coupling. Of course the coupling on the opposite side in both cases is opened simultaneously to allow return flow back to the reservoir. This is a little outside the norm for conventionality compared to most brands. I should have looked for your first post. Is this tractor new to you?

Yes, the tractor is new to me. I have never owned a case. I previously operated John Deere's and International's. I always connected the hoses on the other tractors to the remote hoses on the same side.
