Looks like my dream might come true. Most of this came overnight. Spent 4 hours blowing snow with the 2955, cleaned out 4 laneways Another 10 inches tomorrow. Dream might turn into a nightmare.... Ben

centash,

White stuff is falling from the sky here too... but we're not expecting THAT MUCH! Yikes!

It looks pretty - but that's about all it's good for. We'd have been OK with a brown/green Christmas.

Take off eh.....It was green here until I clicked on your thread.....now we have this lake effect type stuff.......just kiddin, it is December and we should've already had lots of snow.

We're supposed to get hammered tomorrow. I spent the day hauling hay while I could still get in the field with the truck and trailer. Hauled 84 round bales. I'll probably be hauling with the tractor the rest of the winter.

You can keep it in Canada if you want to though a little has already slipped all the way down to Iowa already.

South-central Minnesota is getting its first noticeable snow of the season -- about 3 inches by Saturday evening and still falling; maybe 6 to 8 inches total expected by noon Sunday.

An aside for which I may get flamed: I wish when folks comment on the weather, they would tell where "here" is. I don't know where everyone lives. Snow in Minnesota means nothing. Snow in Louisiana is a different story. An explanation of "here" would make the posts more interesting.

I forget how that goes. I believe the more black it has is means it is going to allegedly be a bad winter. Only reason I think that is how the wives tale goes, is a guy at work was joking around with a fully brown one he found. Said we wouldn't have to plow snow at all this winter with that much brown on it. A little later on, I handed him a fully black one I found, and told him I figured that would cancel his out, that we'd be plowing snow everyday this winter.

You and I are just a bit over three hours drive time apart , but worlds away ,lol. We only have a lite cover of snow, and that is all we need. I remember driving through your county as a young fella and wondering why the fence post were so close together. I was told that every other post did not go into the ground , only went to the ground . And the idea was the weight of the snow wouldn't pull the page wire down between the buried post. Guy I new in Bruce county calls them "grapevine post" . Do you have any of these near you?

Yes, I have some on the other farm, anyone pasturing cattle with no electric wire has some. The more posts also keep the snow from pulling the page wire down. I'll see if I can send a picture. Another 2 inches overnight. Ben
