I have a bad back, does anyone else use a Chaheati butt and back warmer in there combine, tractors or grain trucks, sure helpes my back fell real worm, takes some of the pain away.I can work longer hours

I had back trouble for more than a decade so I started wearing a lumbar back brace and took Doan's pills. I also started being more careful what I did and my back seem to heal. I no longer wear the brace or take the pills now.

My combine has a factory heated seat and it does help with back pain. Only problem is the bottom gets hotter than the back due to better "contact". I really wished the back and the bottom were independently controlled. Who needs a sweaty bottom? On a side note, something that helps the back is keeping your feet elevated a bit. I had the "Harley Pegs" installed on the steering column of my combine to rest my feet at a height just above the brake pedals. Takes all the pressure off the spine for those long days. This has helped me more than the heat.

Mine seems worse when I use a heated seat.

I'm currently doing those shots in my spine to try to help. Tomorrow is shots 5and 6. I wasn't sure he'd get me back after 3 & 4. When they use two five inch needles you should beware. Every surgeon has said they can't help me so it's my last resort.

I'm 6'4" but I still have a 4x4 block in the tractors and combine. It helps to raise my feet up that distance. When I drove school bus I had a foot long 2 x 6 board screwed to the floor behind the accelerator pedal. It got my feet up the right amount to keep my hips from being in a snarl.

I"ve often used some tarp straps around myself, anchored to the seat back, just to temper the jostling while combining. Helps quite a bit. Used it when combining beans, cuz watching the header is more intensive then, compared to doing corn.
