Packers 21, Texans 13

Okay you Northern guys. We Texans aren't accustomed to playing in the snow, but we did give it a good fight. Really amazed at the teams. Spirit remained regardless of something other than stellar weather.

Why isn't the stadium named Vince Lombardi Stadium? Who decided in favor of more seating vs a roof? Any regrets?

Ha, mindset. Got to watching the game and heard a car coming by. Got up to see if the road was covered.

I believe the Packers are community owned and nothing is going to change there concept football - cold and snow. I've seen a lot of you southern guys panic over 2 snow flakes. Any place in the north that gets real winter doesn't panic until we get 2 feet. Doesn't mean we like it - we just deal with it as part of life.

I wouldn't call it panic. It's just acceptance that it's finally winter and it ain't going away for a while. More a feeling of defeat than panic. lol

Seems strange that Indy tore down a dome stadium to build another while some northern teams never had any. The snow during the game made it seem to me like Christmas is getting close.

The playing field at Lambeau has heating tubes under the turf. If you watch late season games in sub zero weather you will notice the field is muddy at times. Packer fans are die hard and weather doesn't slow us down.

Just put the lawnmower away last week and got the snow blowers and shovels ready. Three inches, wet, heavy, in Waukesha. Plow just came through with salt. Fun driving tomorrow with all the idiots re-learning winter driving skills. Be safe out there. PS Way to go Pack!

Little known fact packer players got heated seats and cold weather gear. The opposition has to bring there own. But anyone remember the ice bowl? That was against the Cowboys story goes this lady showed up in a dress and for some reason she didn't stay the whole game. The Packers did at one time practice outside in cold weather but now they practice inside

I believe Curly Lambeau was the driving force in the early years for football in Green Bay, hence naming the stadium after him. It would be inconceivable around here for the Packers to play home games in a dome. The waiting list for season tickets is probably 15 yrs, so adding more seating is an easy sell.

Well I got what I was looking for. A lot of good feelings, friendly chat and "Esprit de Corps". Thanks for sharing.

I have been to 1 game there. Why anyone would wait 15 years for tickets is beyond me. Worst stadium in the NFL. All seating is bench seating (can you say High School). I'm a small guy, (5'6 175), the area they allot for you isn't big enough for me with cold weather gear. Your really screwed with a couple of 300# men in your section. Go buy a hot dog and hot chocolate, and it is cold by the time you get back to your seat. Green Bay fans aren't hardy, their crazy.
