Need Help Identifying a 50s? McCormick Tractor

I am gathering up some old tractors that need restoration to sell them. I am having trouble finding the model/serial number on this one so far and was hoping maybe someone could help identify it.

Appears to be a W6.

W6 - Tag is behind the tank, thats in front of the battery box.

Thanks for the reply, It appears the tag has been removed as I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Do you know if there is any other way to date it?

I did find a engine serial number i believe

Some say W6 , though it doesn't look much different than my W4

I'd vote for a W-4 also. If the starter is on the right side as you sit in the seat, it is a W-4. If on the left, then it is a W-6. Based on the size of the A next to it, I'd say it is a W-4.

As otherssaid, it is indeed a W4. I think 1951, if memory serves me right.

Looks very much like my 51 W4. Does not look big enough to be a W-6 - but its kinda hard from the picture angles to be sure.

WBHM engine serial prefix says W-4, at least post 49 with the headlights at top.
W-4 starter on left side as viewed from seat.

W4- I used to have one. Made me very nervous with PTO equipment, with that shaft spinning right below your backside. I'd tape up my pant legs with duct tape, in case I forgot what I was doing and stepped down on the back platform before I got everything stopped. Pretty good ol' tractor- raked lots of hay with it, even baled some. That one's got a homemade live remote hydraulic, which would be handy with a disk or plow.

Bought a Case 500 diesel once that had the seat over the PTO like the W4,PTO shaft going to the bush hog broke and bet the operator to death.

The neck of the governor is short, so the engine is either a H or W4. So the tractor in the pictures is a W4.
