Converting 6V to 12V Using Motorcraft 3 wire Alt

If you have one of these on an old ford or ferguson tractor, but you need a regulator I found one that will work
for only $16.99. It's a MasterPro Ignition 2VR2 4 - pin Regulator. You can find these at Oreilly's Auto Parts.

ive had a ford alternator on a super a since 2002 I uesd a two wire regulator that I was told was a dodge . main wire runs to the amp gauge and the field wire runs to the regulator from regulator to the same side of the switch as the ignition wire no lights no diodes no nuthin zero problems

An old rebuilder told about that regulator back in the 70's Very common
on Chrysler products , he told me it would work on ANY alt, as long as
you had a volt meter or ammeter. Won't work with an idiot lite. It has a
screw term on one end and a spade term on the other. He sold me rebuilts
for $5 , I carried several.

Went to NAPA they gave me a GM 1-wire self regulating unit and it works great. I'm not running allot of accessories, but this worked for me on my 430.
