Got this email this morning:

You have a Shipment from DHL, Click below link for tracking.

queromavidaleve dot com dot br [I wrote out "dot" so it wouldn't be a clickable link in my post]

WARNING: Input your correct Email ID and Password which recieve message.
DHL Customer Service [end of email]

Soooo, I get some stuff from time to time from DHL and others- and they just seem to bring it here without any prior notice. And the awkward English in the last 3 words (including misspelled "receive") is pretty much a dead giveaway. At best, he's harvesting valid email addresses to sell; at worst, something more diabolical.
 
I get the same thing about once a week from FedEx - said they couldn't delivery a package and I can click on the attached file (usually a zip file) to get the details. I get the same type of email saying I'm supposed to appear in some city court or kicked out of my house and all require a zip file to be opened. I'm wondering if I get more of these types of scams these days because I'm over 60 and they think I'm just another easy old person.
 
The 'BR' at the end is my give away, not from the USA. Scam.

Along with everything else mentioned.

I think a lot of these are going around with an attachment right now, open the attachment and it locks up your computer, lose everything on it if you don't send them $700.

I use a program called Mailwasher which lets you check your email before downloading. Also lets you delete as well before downloading.

It also shows sender details - which can be interesting.

One recent one had to do with a court in N. Carolina - interesting thought to one in Oz who has never been to NC.
 
I've been getting notices from Amazon about my recent purchase. I just delete them since I haven't made any Amazon purchases.
 
The scam is that when you click on the link, it will take you to a counterfeit DHL site, and ask you to log in. Once you type in your login, they now have your user name and password. From there, they could use your account for their purposes and at your expense.
