Source for Tire Chains?

Hi - decided to finally buy a new set of double rings and get rid of the old set I have been struggling with for 25 years. They are way to big for my tractor. The best price I found was http://www.tirechainsrus.com/- no shipping, chains are just under $300.

I see lots of discussions about this company being a good source http://www.tirechain.com/Tractor-Tire-Chains.htm. They have slightly higher price plus $50 shipping.

Has anyone ever bought from tire chains r us ?
We are in the middle of a big lake effect storm today, and I want to get these ordered rather than put my old chains on again.

The best source for tire chains are consignment sales in spring time. I stock up, as they can come apart in a storm or get lost in the snow.
 
I only have large garden tractors with 16 inch tires so I by used large truck tire chains at auctions in the spring. Last spring I got 3 pair at the same auction. One pair was new. About $30 a pair.
 
I have bought from tirechains.com and can recommend them highly. I am not familiar with tirechainsrus. Not knowing what size you need I was not able to look up the price at tirechains.com but I would check it out before you buy elsewhere. I am heading out now to put the chains on both tractors, the snow is drifting but in places it is well above my knees.

You must check out tirechains.com before you buy.

I've bought two sets from them in the last 15-20 years and been well satisfied both times.

There is no location information on the tirechainsrus.com website that I can find. From their shipping map you can conclude that they're located in Iowa, but that's about it.

tirechains.com has their street address right on their website.
 
I'm not sure but I think that they are in PA.

Check the area code of the phone number.

Bob - I think I could cut out 4 sets and get the width about right. I thought about cutting out the middle rings that are getting thin in spots and welding the cross links back together. Thought that was more messing around than I cared to do, so I decided to try to sell my old set on Craigslist and just buy a new set for $300.
