So now that...

...it is around freezing and we have had some snow and freezing rain and the wind keeps blowing non stop, the elevator has informed me that I can start bringing them corn, but not soy. Yeah...that's sounds about par for the course. So I guess I know where I will be tomorrow.

Dave H.,

That was kind of the straw that broke the camel's back regarding my husband deciding to rent out our land.

We were not permitted to bring in TWO gravity wagons full... because the elevator had 20 semis slated to arrive from corporate farms.

Gordo,

Nope, a lot more bushels than that off the farm. :)

Just meaning that my husband only hauled in two wagons at a time.

See my post I just put up. This is when15,000 bushels of bin is nice. And a HUGE headache at the same time.

The local elevator is pretty good. If you are one of their regulars they will call you each morning when they have space for one of the semis. There are tons of BTO that are using him right now because he's the only one hauling out and has a little space. He remembers his regulars first, though.

I gave up on wagons. Gave me nothing but trouble. Tom O's truck has been my mainstay the last year and a half. It's not huge and I don't push capacity, but way nicer and easier. So I am out here...

No problems yet! :)
