Kubota tractor electric

Most times the problem is where the battery negative cable goes to the frame but click on the jm. and send me an e mail with a phone number and I will give you 28 years of experience.

licked on JM but nothing happened. Have done a lot of troubleshooting and have lots of info. If I had your e-mail, I could lay it out.

Just go there to the bottom right and click on where it says send e mail and click then you can hook up. Try again I refuse to put my phone number or e mail out where the whole world can see.

Close to 15 years ago we had a new Kubota 3020? at work to mow and push a little snow. I had to do the maintenance on it. I remember the first of hardly any problems was the negative battery cable.

Thanks but I'm way past the battery cable. Starter works fine if I jump the solenoid. I've checked everything and replaced several items with no help

talking in person would be easier but since you can,t e mail tell me what the tractor is not doing. If you sit in the seat and turn the key on do you get lights. Then when you try to start the tractor what happens? or what is the problem you are having?

I am assuming your starter relay is a 4 post? 2 large,2 small? If so,1 of the small posts should get voltage when you try to crank the engine, and the other 1,that you jumping to ground, has the ground circuit, for the relay, wired in series thru all of the safety switches. This is assuming the engine will not crank, but will start when it cranks. So,if the above is the case, and you are using a multimeter, check for continuity thru the wiring of all the switches, from one to the next, keeping one lead on the very first or last terminal in the circuit and going.Somewhere that circuit has lost continuity to ground.Mark

You are correct, it is a four post relay. One is a hot wire, one goes to the starter, one to the key switch and one to ground except mine doesn't make ground. If I put a jumper wire on it to ground, key start works normally, I agree the problem is in the safety switch circuit. Problem is that all the wiring is in looms . Even have tail lights and turn signals all in the same loom. Book wiring schematic is just a "stick" drawing and doesn't show actual locations and current flow. Took today off, will hit it again tomorrow. Thanks Mark
