Black Friday

OK, the big shopping day will be upon us. What are our choices: the over priced, decaying mall, or a high priced specialty stores, or maybe some chain discount store who's products come mostly form China?

Me, well its another trip to Missouri to buy an American made 4-row planter. Last year on Black Friday i went to Missouri and bought a 2-row planter, so this year's Black Friday's shopping will be a 4-row planter. Ya, I'm super sizing and no I don't want fries with that!

To some, Black Friday means diamonds, maybe clothing, or some cheep, plastic toy that will break as its taken out of the package.

To me, Black Friday means good old American made tractor parts or implements.

Just my thoughts!

I think we're in the market for a coffee maker. Our p.o.s. Bunn quit 2 or 3 months ago so we've been using our 32 oz.
French press from camping. Other than that, we don't buy into all the sale crap. Can't afford it, anyway.

I think the shopping is already done here. Family is getting sun and sand for Christmas. Black Friday will be spent laying down wood floor in the bedroom, a much needed gift for my allergies.

Momma says she wants a new crock pot (slow cooker) for Christmas. I sure hope they aren't all sold out on December 24 since that's the only day I do any Christmas shopping. Black Friday? Nah, I don't think so.

First year we were empty nesters without thinking about it my wife and I decided to go to Fargo to finish up Christmas shopping. So 90 miles later we pull into town and traffic is crazy! That's when we realized it was "black" Friday. We bought coffee and went home. I've been asking people who like to brag about what they have and how much they earn if they ever drove 90 miles one way for a cup of coffee?

We don't do black Friday.

Last year I went into Walmart (yeah, I know) on Thursday evening (Thanksgiving day) after eating out. Surprise, Black
Thursday! I guess I don't keep up on those things. Mobs of people around piles of stuff waiting for 6 PM to buy. I
needed food for the house so......trying to get through the people blocking the aisles who wouldn't move I nearly got into a fight, really wanted to drop the guy where he stood. I suffer from a short temper at times. This year I will be sure to avoid Black Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday etc.

To me and mine Black Friday is a day like any other. My wife keeps an eye out for Christmas gifts all year long, so she has something special for most everyone by then anyway.

Huh...had our Bunn 7-8 years now, love it as I'm not a very patient person when it comes to that first cup of coffee in the morning.

As far as Black Friday, not for me. Unless there's something good online at a heck of a deal. But I'm not going anywhere near a store. Those people are nuts.

We made the same mistake once, traffic was backed up, we avoided it and went
home also.
