Today I turn the 'Big Six O' 60 years. Does that make me a 'senior citizen'? Not really sure how I fell about that.

Happy Birthday buddy!!

You know, I had "Steve 60" on my calendar this morning, and I was thinking, Steve isn't 60 (another good friend that lives here in Sandpoint)!?!? I've been pondering for a few hours wondering what Steve had a birthday today! I think next year it is going to say DeltaRed 61! ;)

Have a good one! Bryce

Happy Birthday! In the words of the immortal Mr.Spock...may you live long, prosper and always drive red tractors!

Paul

Let me know how that works out for you. I'm getting close myself and if this doesn't work for you maybe I'll hold off on it for a while til they get the kinks worked out of it.

Definitely a senior citizen, old fogey, and a few other "titles".
............... and entitles you to get your discount on "seniors day" at various establishments!

Just joking; have a good one!

I turned 60 back in August also. If the pile of mail from AARP and other senior type outfits is any indicator then yes, WE are senior citizens now.

I passed that checkpoint 19 years ago when clothing was much lower in price. There was a pretty little college girl, apparently a sorority girl, waiting me in the department store where I was shopping for a shirt. Did I say the was pretty? the pretty girl was showing me the $24-$30 shirts. Did I say she was pretty? My wife walked up and she said, "We also have these." and showed me the $12 shirts, Did I say she was pretty?

Happy Birthday DeltaRed!
If you think that 60 hurts, you must be feeling younger, which is a good sign :)

Happy Birthday, Delta Red.

I say always be thankful for yet another trip around the sun.

Age truly is just a number - what really matters is how you feel in your heart (and keeping as physically active as you possibly can).

So one does some stretches in the AM to overcome feeling like an arthritic snake (that's my husband's descriptor... LOL), then just goes about "keepin' on keepin' on" each and every day.

And every day is a good day.

Per my Dad, "Any day spent picking daisies, is far better than one spent pushing them up from 6 feet under." Dad was a wise fella. :)

Happy Birthday Steve, today would have been my Dad's 108th birthday, we lost him in 1999. I turned 71 on the 1st of the month, and my son will be 42 on the 21st. The Hy-Vee grocery chain gives senior discount on Mondays to any 55 and older.

Forgot!

If anyone gives you any grief about being old... you just rock on their toes. LOL

(That was the wording in the card I sent my oldest sis when she turned 60.)

oh,,but we are,,at the truckstop the senior menu is 60 and over,,,entree, soup or salad ,one veg...comes with pudding or ice cream for deesert for 7.99 About 8 or so entrees to choose from....lol

Happy birthday. There is something special about turning another century. It doesn't matter if you are 20 or 80. I hope you can hang around for a few more decades.

Happy Birthday DeltaRed. I turned 76 a month ago. Just another 35th birthday cause I dont know how a 76 yr old feels. I am still working on those old tractors everyday and not retired.

Happy 60th Birthday!!! Hope you have many, many more! I got you by a year so I will continue to break trail for you. If I end up at the grocery store on their Wendseday senior discount day I ask for my " experienced person" discount!

Happy B-Day

Take advantage of being a senior citizen even though you don't feel like one. Those senior discounts save me allot of money. So it never bothered me being called a senior citizen.

Happy birthday. I felt as well as I ever did in my 60s. Started going downhill in the 70s.

Happy Birthday youngster - Got almost 2 years on you.
Still can't decide if I want the Senior discount or NOT!

Jim

Happy Birthday from Prescott and I, She actually sang Happy Birthday (not copyrited any more) to you through the miracle of the internet. Jim

Really? Hy-Vee? My youngest worked there during High School so we shopped there, but their prices were much higher than their competitors, so once she graduated, we started going to Fareway. I had no idea Hy-Vee had a senior discount; Fareway doesn't. BUT, Fareway is MUCH lower priced than Hy-Vee for the exact items and they are closed Sunday-important if you Believe. Price example--Anderson Erickson Buttermilk is $1.37 at Fareway and is $1.99 at Hy-Vee. Pretty sure that a 'senior discout' wouldn't discount that much. Plus, Fareway takes your groceries to your car--Hy Vee doesn't. And the employees DON'T expect, or accept, a 'tip'. That last comment is from what my East Coast family has told me.

I think I have posted this here before but will again for you. In his Playboy interview some years ago Clint Eastwood said "Some people are old before their time because they think old". Try not to "think old". And as I am sure you already know the older you get the faster they come. But you don't have to think old.

Happy Birthday.....60 is just another low hurdle on the track of life, I jumped it in 1994. Take good care of yourself and talk to God often, you may be surprised how many more birthdays you'll have. Try to enjoy life everyday, whatever, it does get pretty precious.
