Larry THANKS for the pictures and the sale results. I wish I live closer that JD fork truck would have had a new home.

The JD GARDEN tractor bringing $5000 was HIGH priced even with the loader. That loader is about worthless on those 2WD garden tractors. They would not lift the 60 inch mower deck that is under the same mower. LOL I sold the very same setup to a fellow. He had some thing go wrong with the deck. So he took the deck off and put the loader on to set the deck in his pickup. The loader would not pick it up. LOL Thankfully he mainly used it to move light snow and was happy with it.

Larry did you buy one of the gulf carts??? They are real handy to have.

go look in t talk,,,the forklift had 1700 hrs the radiator was just redone but not put in ,,their father bought it brand new,,it got caught in a flood the motor was stuck,,the tires were kind of dry rotted, the radiator was sent out and was all redone,Iknow that costs,,there was some money to be made there just in parts, but I think it could have been fixed

I'm not an auction fan. But this is the type of auction I like. Eclectic mix of nice things. And beautiful weather! I too would have not been able to let that forklift go so cheap.
Thanks!

There's a Kubota ad (or is a Mahindra?) that shows one of their tractors picking up a J.D. at least this size on the loader and another on a 3 point hitch platform. This J.D. should surely be able to pick up as much weight as the mower deck.

Larry, thanks for posting. Wish I'd gotten that McCormick Deering #7 mower for $30. I cut my hay with draft horses and mowers of that vintage, but a good, restored for use one runs over $1,000. Kelly in TX

I have one of those lawn tractors. I did have the loader for it and wished I still did. It would lift 300 pounds, I did a lot of work with it, moved a lot of dirt and rocks. It got weak and I got a bigger tractor with a loader and figured I did not need it anymore. It was handy in tight places. those loaders were $ 3500 new.

That mower is in condition if I found one like that I could easily pay $150 or more for just to take to the Amish I work with and when he would get it ready for field (not restored) with no paint it would retail at $1,500 or more. If he would paint it then price would still be higher.

NO toung or pitman or knife. Those would be replaced anyways with the ones I work with. The bearing on the pitman drive would be replaced with a sealed bearing so would never have to grease that part again.

That was a Mahindra ad, showing how light weight the competition is and the lift capacity of the Mahindra. I agree that JD loader should have been able to pick up the deck!
