I have a 1972 Massey Ferguson 135, Perkins 3 cylinder, gas engine. Here is the story::: It has been a great tractor. 0 problems. Until recently. I have had to play with the choke to keep it running so I could use it, usually about half way out. I was bush hogging the other day and I ran it out of gas. When I finally got it started it was dumping gas up the intake hose and out the bottom of the air filter. Tractor guy at parts place recommended I rebuild the carb. Had that done, put back together, stopped dumping gas, but still wasn't running good. Since then I have installed new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, condenser, intake hose, sediment bulb, and carb solenoid. I am confident the everything is gaped and put together correctly but now it wont start. Turns over, but wont start and run. Any suggestions??? Spent around 400.00 in parts and am at a loss. The only thing I can think of is maybe with all the trying to start it I have fouled the plugs. I really don't know.
