An old person's challenge

I need some help from the brain trust. I would like to find a website to compare prices of things today versus certain years - like comparing a gallon of gas in 1954 vs 2016. Is anyone aware of a website where I could put in the year and get that information without googling it every time?

Try googling "inflation calculator" and it will allow you to put in the price now and see what it would be for any other year.

Try fiftiesweb.com then click ''pop history'' then choose your year and there is a button ''what things cost''

I don't think that's what he's looking for.

Sounds like he's looking for the actual prices of things. Say a loaf of bread was 18 cents in 1956, and $2.99 now.

There's a site like that. It's called google. Yes, I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but that's precisely what google is for.

In the end the price it is today is all that really matters ? And here in Ohio gas price sometimes changes a few times a day !
