1935 truck dimensions

My 80 year old uncle is selling the farm and moving to an assisted living facility. I bought the 1935 Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton truck that he has had since my grandfather gave it to him. Although grandpa didn't buy it new, it has been in the family since it was just a couple of years old. My uncle got it from him and used it until 1987 to feed silage every day. At that point he put it up on blocks in the back of the shed.

Last week my cousin helped him get it out, air up the tires, and even get it to fire with gas down the carb. I hopped right on it and told him I would be there this weekend to get it. It's in amazing shape. I'm considering cleaning it up good and clear coating it. She will get driven around the farm here but just for light duty.

I was hoping to fit it on the skid steer trailer but the few pictures I have make it look too long. Does anyone know what the wheelbase for a truck of that size was in '35? It is on the heavy dual wheel chassis.

A teaser until I get it home Sunday. The outside duals are in the shed. Mom has pictures of the old girl from the early 50's with the team of horses loaded in the back going to the sale barn after grandpa switched to tractors. She could hold 110 bushels of wheat and you had to ride the sling up to unload it if you weren't quick enough to get out. Still has the original 207 six cylinder.

Coat that truck with Fluid Film a lanolin based product and preserve that original patina. You can get Fluid Film at farm supply stores, my John Deere dealer has it in gallons also.

Around here they would not raise truck untill you were out and where they could see you being safe. Our 1950 International was droped of one before we got it, both front fenders dammaged. Some trucks had to watch how high they were lifted because the cradle would hit the oil pan or the exaust system.

This one would have the engine flood every time mom says. The boys at the small town elevator loved to get mom trapped in the truck so she had to ride up. They knew mow much she hated it.
