The original subject was "Re: 2630 john deere transmission".

I have a jd 2240 and am also getting coolant in the hydraulic system. the tractor was overheating, I cleaned seeds out of radiator, checked coolant and it was down to core, maybe a quart or 2. I added 2 gallons of coolant and the level in the radiator never rose... but could hear it running somewhere and not out on the ground. I checked engine oil and drained it... no coolant in the engine. The transmission fluid was way over filled and milky with coolant.
I agree there is no communication between the 2... so what is broken. Where do I look

Are you sure it was coolant in the oil?? A common issue is rain water getting down past the shifter boots and into the transmission,, you could have "2" issues here a radiator/liner leaking and bad shifter boots.
