I put a locking fuel cap on my New Holland cab tractor a couple years ago, I purchased it at the dealer. Went to get fuel yesterday and now it won't lock, anyway you turn the key it screws right off. Anyone know what could have happened to the lock? I always put a piece of duck tape over the lock so rain water doesn't go in.

Shoot some brake cleaner followed by penetrating oil down in the key slot and shake it around. May be just gummed up with dirt and stuck.

I have found that PB Blaster cleans / lubricates / removes rust / removes corrosion on electrical / displaces water / removes gunk ....... etc etc etc ... Dunno how ir does it. I spray it everywhere, Have had it fix all sorts of switches, electrical contacts, It is what I would use first.
