I grew up a Cubs fan. Listened to Bert Wilson calling the games on WIND radio.

Any of you old enough to remember these great Cubs?

Ernie Banks
Ransom Jackson
Phil Cavaretta
Hank Sauer
Mickey Owen
Andy Pafko
Wayne Terwilliger
Bob Rush
Roy Smalley

Anybody remember more names from the forties and fifties?

Nope I can remember to the 80's tho. I got base ball cards from 1981 thru 1992,Complete sets.Somewhere I have the first night game when they flipped on the lights. Name I can remember most are Sandburg and Dawson.

After the Braves left Milwaukee in the sixties we got a new antenna to pull in WGN from Chicago to hear Jack Brickhouse "Santo, Kessinger, Beckert, and Banks third to first, Williams, Phillips, and Spangler left to right, Hundley behind the plate and Fergie Jenkins on the mound.". Good memories!

I remember some from the 50s and 60s, got 2 big books of these. Everybody's mom threw their cards away except mine, she just complained about them for years. My daughter lives 5 miles west of Wrigley field.
