Got the DVR set! Unloading corn now but when semi empty I am going home to watch it from the beginning. Sure do miss Harry and his holy cow! Back on college I watched a lot of afternoon games. Harry carry and Steve stone were the best.

I am a Cardinal fan and first starting hearing Harry on KMOX in St louis when i was a small kid in 1946. He teamed with Gabby Street. At that time they did not travel with the team but Harry embellished the broadcast from reading the ticker tape. He had a passion for his teams.

I've always been a Cardinals fan but I'm also a National League fan so I'm supporting the Cubbies. It looks like it may be a long shot now. I've always liked listening to games on the radio more that watching them on TV. Harry Carry and Jack Buck were my favorite. I never got to listen much to George Kell but I knew him and his family, My uncle played ball with him before he went to the majors.
Harry was the most colorful, one of his famous lines that was seldom repeated, "folks we have a newlywed couple here tonight. He kisses her on the strikes and she kisses him on the balls."
