White 5400 planter

Found this planter at a local dealer in the dead row. It was used to plant corn and I would like to try soybeans. The dealer I checked with said that soybean disc 245455B was not in their system. Also one of the blower motors was burned up. Just wondering if there is aftermarket parts for these?

Good reason it is in dead row. Even in top shape they never sell for more than scrap here.

Blowers are a constant battle to keep working, even then few older tractors have enough electrical system to keep their battery charged. Make sure you have a monitor.

There was a plate version that while simple, wasn't terrible.

The 5100 is a good workable planter and can be had cheap.

Where are you located?? I've got 5400 and a 5100 here ( in KY) that I no longer use.

Go get a 5100, hydraulic drive blower and many parts are still available from AGCO. Many parts are actually still being used on new planters yet.
