All,
Am I the few of the remaining dinosaurs that replaces a u-joint, and "relaxes" the ears?
I mean when a u-joint is replaced, post-press/beating, do you hang the shaft from your hand and beat the bottom of the ears to get the joint to relax?
Sounds crude, but beating on the lower part of the wye tends to compensate for the ears being crushed inwards from vise activity that's necessary to get the old joint out...
