Farming with Legos!

It's been a very long time since I've done anything with Legos...enjoyed them as a kid, but got into building guitars and cars in high school and they stayed up in the attic.

Well, now that my nephew is 4 and loves playing Legos, I dug out a couple bins for him to use when he comes over. After a visit the other week, I decided to try my hand at building again, and made this tractor and wagon!

I'm pretty happy with this iteration of both tractor and wagon. Going to try either a disc, a 1-bottom plow, or a sickle bar mower next...I don't have a ton of pieces so we'll see what I come up with. Anyways, thought y'all might like seeing this.:)

My oldest son is sophomore in engineering school, mechanical engineering, and he has told us DO NOT move things in his Lego City. He took over my wife's sewing room, many years ago, and converted the entire room into Lego City, with airports, farms, houses, subdivisions, factories..... We have our instructions, and I think Lego City will be there until the end of time.

My son (24) is VERY creative with legos. I wish he would apply to them for a job. I have told him a few times to send some pictures of his creations into them. I'm pretty sure he has not.

I still have my Legos as well. Now my grandson is almost ready for them. When I was about 13 I built a set of Lego farm buildings for my 1/64 toy tractors. I still have that same set of building and they are set up on a dresser top in my bedroom thirty years latter. Tom

I'll have to get some pictures of mine, I have LOADS of Legos, I mean LOTS. I made many Farmalls, a couple JD's, a Massey, and a lot of equipment to use behind them.... I will dig them out one day.

The guy loading bales into the wagon is a nice touch!

My son had almost a 5 gallon bucket full of Legos. Here is a truck he built a number of years ago. We thought it was too nice to take apart so it is on the shelf downstairs with my other toy trucks.
The bucket of Legos is still here and gets brought out every now and then when the grandkids are here.

I just tried to make a Lego ford for
the little bro and his friends the
other day. It didn't turn out good. :
( years ago I'd play with them every
day. One of the last things I built
several years back was a remote
controlled tractor with a working PTO
and brush hog. Whish I could find pics
of it. It was big though. Weighed
probly 20 pounds.

Lego's??? I had tinker toys and lincoln logs. Later on my older siblings got jobs away from home and I got an Erector
set one year for Christmas. Oh we did have some building bricks that look to be the forrunner of Lego's..

No Lego's around when I was a kid. Had to stick with tinker toys, Lincoln Logs, Erector set and red bricks that went together some what like legos. All you could build was buildings with the bricks. had windows, doors and roof.
