How much power for hay equipment

We are about to get a new Case IH 100C and I was wondering what size hay equipment would work for it? It's 85 pto horse and 4wd. Looking at maybe like a 9ft disc bine and a 4x5 round baler. I would guess it should be adequate but what would be the best set up? Thanks!

Sounda good. We have used a 6060 allis. It is plenty big enough for those tools. 9000lb. And same hp.
 
Sounds good. You could up the size of the baler a little if need be. It's nice to be able to make bigger bales, you can set it back to a smaller size around if you want most of the time.

Thanks! I figured it would be enough but I'm used to cutting and baling hay for a guy that uses 100+ horse newer John Deeres
 

85 HP is adequate for a nine foot discbine. I had 96 in front of mine and pulling up a slope in heavy hay it was all it wanted
 
You're in good shape for those pieces of equipment unless you are baling steep hillsides. I bale with a 90hp tractor and have power to spare on a 435 JD baler and 9' disc mower. There are some of the soft core balers that eat up a lot of hp but you should still be fine.
 
I've put up lots of alfalfa with my 990 MOCO, and a 5x6 RB. Using my 2010 CAH Farmall
95. No dust, no heat, no noise.

My only comment is that there is a New Holland of the same tractor (don't know the model), but different paint. You might look at one of them for a price comparison.

It's a T4.100 on the NH. the only reason we would get a red is the new holland dealership does not have the greatest customer service and hardly any of the shop guys can truly fix an issue. The red dealership we deal with some has always been good to us (so far anyways). The only downside is it's about 40 miles away vs blue being 5 miles
