Yesterday I attended the Clark estate auction at the edge of Newton,KS..Heres some results..
None of the tractors ran..
1-Fordson-engine free ---$800-a pair of fenders went with it..
2-70 Oliver on steel---$575
3-F-12 Farmall on steel---$425
4-John Deere A with fenders and new rear tires---$650
5-W-30 McCormick--$150
6-W-6 McCormick----$230
7-W-6 McCormick----$325
8-DC Case----$350
9-WC Allis----$400---new rear tires had sat flat
10-Regular Farmall---$200
11-F-20 Farmall---$200
12- Massey 44-----$250--great sheet metal
13-H Farmall with loader----$220
14-Oliver Super 88-The family kept it.
15-John Deere A-The family kep it plus a F-12 on steel..
16-I didnt keep track of what the steel wheels sold for..
17-I also didn't keep track of the engines..
18-I ended up with the model T Gleaner combine..Less than 500 were built
in 1954-55..Its powered by a 172 CI Ford engine..It cut wheat 15 years ago..
