I recently changed both air filters (2 weeks ago), because I was getting "AF-2" warning. After being in use this morning for about 2 hours, it suddenly lost power like throttle was pulled back. It started cutting out so I shut it down. Then it beeped with "AF-6"
AF= air filter
6= no signal
Is that why it lost power? Is this a sensor?
My manual is not here yet, and would like to get it running as soon as possible.
Any ideas?

I work on a 753 quite often, in fact it's in the shop right now...

To my knowledge the electronics are informational only, don't have the ability to shut down or go into limp mode.

I would check the fuel system. Especially the rubber fuel lines, primer bulb, filter (dump it in a glass, look for water), and lift pump.

There is a sensor for the air filter. Look the wiring over for chafing, shorting to ground, etc.

I did buy the manual on a CD... Borderline useless! Looks like a copy of a copy, very dark and blurry. If I had a do over, I'd get the real deal.
