just use your 6v and take a hydrometer reading when it reads around 1250 or so your battery is charged.

I use my Harbour Freight 6-12 charger set at 6 volts and it will charge an 8 volt battery up to 9.2 volts which is full charge. I bought an 8 volt charger from Amazon caller Battery Tender but it only takes the battery to 8.2 volts which is 1/2 charged. The Harbour Freight charger does a good job for 30 bucks.

I use my 12 v and place it on 2 amps works ok
