Time to stock up on diesel??

I saw crude is on the rise...so decided to fill my tanks today. 1.95 for dyed, 2.32 for road diesel. Got 400 gallons stashed for next year, about a third of what I normally use.

I had the last 2000 gallons of my prepay delivered a
month or so ago. I figured I would likely be good for
the rest of the year but now it's muddy as can be.
Running the FWA doubles the fuel consumption of
the combine. Looks like I need to plan on some
before its time to prepay again.

I have been expecting prices to go up too, because crude is up over $50, but gas has come down in our area this week. What I don't like is premium is 60 cents more than regular, I'm not sure they can justify that, but I guess they don't have too! This time of year I put premium in the bikes so they won't sit over winter with ethanol in them.

The crude rally is seasonal as refineries start pumping winter fuel big time this time of the year. Fuel usually bottoms in Feb so there is
no rush to stock up for next year yet. I think the crude price has peaked for the time being and will slowly drift lower from here into the
mid winter period. Cold winter weather will tend to keep it higher and mild spells lower.
