I spent 8 hours today clearing brush and trees to plant 17 cedar saplings. Got most of it done. Need to clear off some trash, level and put down some weed chips before I plant. What you are looking at is part of my old abandoned gravel pit. The ridge looks like some top soil and gravel. I cleared about 150 ft of hill side and uneven ground. This wouldn't be possible with just a front loader. The backhoe can reach up the hill side and remove the honeysuckle

I've been working for 8 years on this project. I've logged over 1500 hours on the terramite in 8 years.

Dan,
A 20 hp kohler what it came with. New one have a 25 hp kohler. This is my second Terramite. Got tired of transporting the one backhoe between two properties. Previous owner put a 20 hp Honda on it.

My first terramite has 1750 hours on the kohler. Doesn't use a drop of oil. Change oil every 60 hours and only run them 2/3 full speed.

Uses about a gallon or less of gas per hour.

I am a little tired, but at 67 I'm entitled, don't you think?

i found a terramite with a briggs engine do you know about what year the briggs come in these this guy said he thought it was made in the 90's are the briggs engine work good in these and what might be the value in good condition i know its just a guess thanks jeff

If you call Terramite they can tell you the year and if it had a Briggs. As for value it's hard to tell without seeing it. If it was left in rain, not worth much. look at tires, hoses, leaks, worn pins, welds, rusted out buckets.

New terramite start at $26k plus shipping and taxes and options. Diesel models are more expensive.

Look on eBay and craigslist for prices.

Terramite will have parts, not cheap.
