2460 long ran out of fuel. put new filters and pump. Can't pump fuel past primary filter. Any ideas would be appreciated..

Tow it a long ways. Those Fiat diesels are one of the most miserable things to bleed on the face of the earth.

What rrlund said. For the next fuel filter replacement, change only one filter at a time. Fill it with fuel before installing it on the tractor, then crank tractor. After it runs satisfactorily, repeat for other filter.
