my 1086 while road driving with ta in low, lost speed going up hills and suddenly jerked into normal speed. I moved the ta to high and it ran ok up hills. what do you think is the problem. I need this tractor to haul grain wagons to the elevator. thx

First off ,get the TA-Clutch adjusted to near specs and then go from there.

sounds like the sprag is going out. time for a new TA. there is no adjustment that should allow the ground speed to drop below TA speed for any engine/gear combination.
