its alive!!! to-20 fergie prolly too o/t

with a pop, bang, and a big wad of black smoke, the lil to 20 came to life!!! even got the alternator charging. buddy gave me this rascal for helping him all the time. he put new rubber and 1 new rim on it. he got it with a hupp overdrive that had a blown gear set. he swapped out for a used trans he got in michigan. have to figure out something for the throttle as the linkage is missing at the governor. the steering arms at the gearbox are leaking pretty good too. and the friction disk on the 3 point quadrant control is long gone. did get a new exhaust,clamp, radiator hoses and hood hinge bolts from yt here. this tractor has the little pto on it, so i will switch that out. figured out the little lever under the seat switches hydraulics from the hitch to and output port. heres some pics.

the hitch control is stuck to the shaft, got er soaking, need to put a friction disk in there

I believe those used a 3/4" wide belt. A 3/4" alt pulley is normally a stocking item at a alt/starter shop at a reasonable price.

Look around long and hard for a pto. Lots of options and lots of prices. I actually found my best deal was from John Deeres A&I. However, supposedly only 5 left when I ordered one in June.

yt has the whole assembly here listed for about 90 dollars, with bearing and gasket. they also list the 3 pt quadrant control housing, but i didnt see the friction disk, prolly call and see if they have it. i am guessing the housing gets broke when an attempt is made to remove it. i will get it field ready and run it for a while, maybe paint it next year. that way i can iron all the bugs out of it!! i have a woods rm600 finish mower i can put on this one.

Ah, I actually forget about yt as they can't yet ship to me. That's a really good price.
The quadrant cork piece was around 2 pounds last time I ordered some parts from the UK.

did this tractor have a fan shroud originally? mine doesnt have one, and i dont see where one was mounted. this i my first fergie, pretty much an i-h guy.

Yes it should. Mounts directly to the rad.

Its the same as a N and other Fords
