John Deere B 120 picker

When I was in High School, (early 60s) Dad had a #101 picker that we mounted on a '43 B. It took forever to get a wagon load, but in all reality it was a good little picker.
Good photo, brings back a flood of memories.
 
first gear was a load but the little B just pop them off! corn yielded 260 bushels shelled dry. The little picker didn't miss a beat! I only picked 3 row a 1/2 mile long
 
Well I grew up doing that and it was indeed a simpler time. I also enjoyed the meals when I helped the neighbors shell later on in the winter. But I sure do like today's warm cabs and shelled corn that flows freely when the gate is opened.
