Just returned from a two week trip to Erlangen, Germany to visit grandkids with a side-trip to Salzburg, Austria. Lots of small dairy farms, some mixed right in to the towns. Cows are all indoors in Germany. We didn't see any on pasture till we got to Austria. Small herds, I don't think I saw any that were more than 30 or 40. The barns and homes are usually one structure. Last picture, lunch at a biergarten in Berktesgaden.

You could go without her.....went with my two brothers this past spring, kind of a war history trip, but then I've been there with my wife twice, and now she tells me we're going to Ireland some day, and going on a river cruise after that..... $$$$ Ben

I took most of them from a moving car. These two barns were in Austria but similar to the German barns. Third pic is a sculpture at the Red Bull corporate headquarters. SWMBO and me at Hitler's Eagle's Nest, 6,000 ft. elev.

Mike it's amazing how much Austria looks like the U.S. Went there a few years ago, the people were very polite and friendly.
