Super A engine serial number

I am restoring a Super A Farmall. The engine serial number is IMAM G with the number 23005 stamped underneath it. I cannot find information on this engine.

I do not believe it is the original engine for this tractor.

Can anyone help me??

The serial#s didnt corespond with the serial tag and that prefiz doesent sound rite but check the cast code on the block and see if its close to the rest of the cast codes. Some were shipped with engines for other purposes i have some like thta and i know for a fact the block has never been changed. What does the tag on the seat mount read should be 2xx,xxx

I have learned through internet search that this engine may have come from a IH baler 55. Those engines had the IMAM G stampings.
