Will a gas 1010 farm tractor motor fit in my john deer 1010 dozer with diesel motor ?

Yes ; It will bolt right in .. a few changes to the fuel system & air intake & air cleaner. .. and you should be good to go....

So will a 2010 gasser. There are some combine engines that fit too but I don't know the models off the top of my head.

40 had same engine, 45 had bigger pistons in deck plate to make engine either a 145 or 180 inch while the 40 and 1010 was 115 inch and the deck plates are interchangable by changing pistond to match the plate. These are gas engines, no not know the diesels.

Fits right in although cubic inch wise, it is a much smaller engine. 1010 gas is the same basic cubic inches as a 2-cylinder 420 Deere. 1010 diesel is much larger and
same size as a 2010 gas engine. I still have the original gas engine in my 1960 Deere 1010 crawler. Been a great little engine. Actually, been a great little crawler
overall. In some ways I prefer it over a 350.
