I live in the northeast of pa & havent seen a robin in 2 weeks-seems awfully early to be heading south. Does this mean a hard winter?

I've seen them in flocks working the berry bushes. Fall is here in NY, its been very dry, a lot of leaves have fallen, our apple trees are almost bare, and a lot of trees are starting to turn.

Haven't had a whole lot of time to notice really . Don't see why they would leave just yet. Still lots of bugs that need to be eaten , and not cold . Silly beggers will be here in a snow storm in the spring but, I guess they have different motives then. Looking to stake territory and breed.

I've not seen a robin for awhile either. I think most of them that were around here died after flying head first into the picture window one time too many.

Dragon flys migrated last week, Buzzards usually leave on 10-2-16. They are gathering to leave now, does seem kind of early. Havn't seen any ducks or geese fly over yet.

The hummingbirds have already made it to my house in south central Texas. The little buggers have been feasting here for going on a month. I believe they all have cell phones now, and there was a nationwide text sent out to stop at that old fat guys house, he has out a lot of feeders and buys a lot of sugar! I have out 9 feeders now and have to fill some twice a day. But I am happy to help them along. I enjoy watching them.

Billions and billions of butterflies are migrating here in s. texas... Our windshields are a mess for a week now.
