I have a Windows 7 desktop that inadvertently got upgraded to Windows 10. I've heard there was a way to undo the upgrade. Is that true?

It's no big deal, really. I've ordered a new 1T hard drive, Windows 7 Pro disc, and a 4G ram card to update it anyway. I was just curious.

Yes - you have either 30 or 31 one days from the date of the upgrade to revert.

I'd go to Microsoft DOT com ... I'm thinking there'd be a link there somewhere.
 

It is true (mostly) that you can easily uninstall Win 10 upgrades...

But unless you are having a specific problem due to the upgrade, I'd say just leave it. Some things are moved around, etc, which can be annoying depending on how used to Win 7 you are - but for the most part Win 10 is more refined/polished, more reliable, and most importantly in today's world - more secure.

Just my opinion, but I have over 2,500 PCs & other devices on the network I manage...

What I'm going to do is replace the hard drive with the new 1T unit and install 7 Pro. Then keep the drive with 10 on it for future use, maybe put it in a klunker 'puter in my shop to play with to get used to 10.

I am very happy with windows 7 nad have no need to go to windows 10 which, IMHO, is a step doen from wondows 7 in terms of usability and user control.
