Well, I took The Boys to the Kansas State Fair Draft Horse Show and entered in some events. First time for any thing like that for them. They seemed to get along just fine. Placed 4th out of 9 or 10 in the Farm Team. They had a couple of miscues that naturally took place in front of the judge or I may have placed higher. 4th was fine though. My main goal this first time was to just survive.
They did well enough in the Farm Team that I let my friends 14 year old Grandson drive them in Youth Farm Team. He placed third in that class.
The Draft Horse Shows usually have what they call a Farm Class, then a Hitch Class, then a Farm Class, then a Hitch Class, and so on. The Hitch Classes are the High Steppin Fancy horses that are usually sponsored. They are beautiful to watch. We normally help a hitch who the Grandson belongs to. He is just not quite ready (although close) to handling the hitch horses. The last couple of pictures is of some Hitch Horses getting ready to show. Look the same color as mine. Bob
