So I just started putting inboard brakes back together and the new brake pads set 1/6 th of an inch higher than the rotor anybody ever run into this my old rotor is only .05 of an inch bigger in diameter. Does it really matter? Done a lot of brakes never seen this. Suggestions. It's on o Toyota.

Doesn't look right to me either. but everything is
together right and I had the parts store check the
part #.

You either have the wrong pads or the wrong rotors. They will cause a lot of problems - mostly noises if you do not remedy it. I have put a lot of pads on a lot of different cars over the years. The pads should not extend beyond the surface of the rotor. There are several diameters of rotors for most disc brake systems. Yours are obviously of the wrong diameter.

That goes for the brakes on the dodge as well.
