need to change blades on my rm 600. is the blade retaining bolt right or left hand thread? i have a manual for the mower, but i cant find it. i hit it with the impact both ways, but it doesnt budge. want to check before i put the coals to it , so i dont break anything. thx.

You can look at manuals and part lists online, it looks like LH threads. It depends on the rotation of the spindle, it should tighten with rotation.

If it's like my Woods. There is a 1/2 inch bolt that holds a clip that retains the large blade pin. The 1/2 inch bolt is removed like a standard bolt, to the left. Stan .

Gleenstir,
Simple rule of thumb, all nuts and bolts loosen in their direction of rotation. Don't care if it's a saw, grinder, or a mower.

I have a rm660 woohs, right hand discharge and another woods belly left hand discharge.

I look at direction blade turns and that's the direction to loosen.

Try it and report back.
